Maroon Bells Backpacking

Sunday, July 1st 2007
I took a backpacking trip with a co-worker of mine, Jared Robertson, on the 4-Pass loop through the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area near Aspen, Colorado. The trail obviously crossed over four different mountain passes and was roughly 22 miles long. The weather was great, the company was great, and the scenery was spectacular. We left from the bunkhouse in Meeker on Friday and hiked to Snowmass Lake for our night out.
This picture was on our way up to Buckskin Pass, the first pass of the trip.
We fished the river that exited the lake for our dinner that night.
The fish I caught. We got cleaned up before dinner by taking a dip in the lake. The water was freezing, but it felt good to wash the sweat off from the hike there.

Snowmass Lake the next morning.
