After a busy fall, Matt and I took a few days off and flew to Fargo for a long weekend to meet our new nephew, Andrew Alan Swenson. He is so precious! We love him so much! Andrew's proud parents, Brady and Jill, are having such a great time with him and are incredible parents. It's fun to see Jill and Brady in new roles as mommy and daddy! Matt and I had a fun time snuggling with Andrew, and we were able to spend quite a bit of time with him because we just stayed in Fargo at the Swenson's. We took lots of pictures and tried to soak up all the "Andrew time" we could in a few short days! Kathy had the weekend off and it was so nice to spend some quality family time together. Mom and Dad came to Fargo on Saturday afternoon and evening and came back for Andrew's baptism on Sunday. Matt ran (well, took a car!) to Fergus on Saturday to do some visiting and hunting. Andrew did a great job during the baptism and though he did have a few funny faces, he didn't make a sound. Did I mention that Matt and I are Drew's sponsors? We are happy to help Drew get to know and love God!!! After the baptism, Jill made a fabulous meal and all of Drew's family (Legge and Swenson side) feasted together. It was such a great day! Even though I had to fly back on Sunday night so I could teach on Monday, Matt was able to take a few extra days off and stay in Fergus for a few days longer. Matt hadn't seen his parents since last May when he moved to Meeker, so he really had a fun time in Fergus. The weekend went way too quickly, but it's nice to think that Christmas is less than two months away, and time always goes fast! It will be neat to see how much Drew changes in the next few months. Jill is lucky to be able to spend the rest of this year home with Drew and will have to go back to work (half-time in the office, half-time at home) after the new year. Brady and Jill are such awesome parents and there are plenty of people to love Andrew - how can you not?!
